Academic Success
Sometimes it bothers me how academic success is moreso judged by discipline and attendance rather than actual knowledge or competence. I don’t believe students should receive brownie points for showing up or being on time and receive an upperhand grade-wise. Even though showing up and being on time is definitely important in the real world. I just feel like it gives an inaccurate representation of an individual’s academic performance, quality of work and capabilities. But that’s just my two cents.

New summer goal? I think so.
I wish I could just go up to some random person, say hello to them and start a conversation. I wish I could walk on the street and smile at complete strangers, or wave, or say what’s up. But I can’t. I’m not that kind of person. In fact, when I’m walking I zone everyone out and just focus on getting to where I need to go. Aha. I think I’m going to make it a goal to say hi to a complete stranger, or start a conversation with someone random each day for 90 days. This is going to be hard. But I think I can do. :3
Things I’m looking forward to.
Can someone just force themselves into my life? Pls. Because it’s evident I can’t do it on my own.
I honestly don’t know how to have relationships. I simply don’t know how to let people into my life.
The person you should be waiting for.
You meet a person. They’re attractive. You have great chemistry. You become infatuated with them. You love the intimacy, the flirting, the sexual relations, the butterflies, and the warm feelings you get from being cutesy-coupley together.
But take that away. Take away the feelings. Take away the intimacy. Take away the warm feelings. Take away the flirting, the sexual stuff, the physical attraction, and the passion.
If you’re left with a person who you genuinely enjoy spending time with as a friend, someone you admire and respect as an individual, and you are completely addicted to this person’s presence. That’s the person you should spend the rest of your life with.
Everything else that I listed is just icing on the cake which makes the relationship so much more meaningful. But you need to start with a solid foundation. You can’t just take a lick of icing with your finger, only to find out that you’ll get bored eating the cake underneath for the rest of your life.
